As we were setting off this morning (YES, I am finally blogging about something that happened this very day), Hashmat exclaimed, as the bus braked sharply, “oh, we almost killed a chicken. That would have been a very expensive chicken lunch.” He explained that not only would we have had to recompense the villagers for the loss of that particular chicken but also for any chickens that chicken might have had. Yoiks! I hope the compensation stops after just one future generation.
