Saturday was Halloween, a holiday that we seem to have exported to France.
At our Friday night gathering, we discussed this export and wondered if it were a good thing or a bad thing. Suzi did some quick internet research and found out that, although Halloween (pronounced without the “h” in the French style) has arrived in France, French children do not go trick or treating. So much for the internet.
Early Saturday evening, this quintet of cuties wandered through the Place de la Republic and were happy to be photographed from the upper windows of our home and were even happier to catch chocolate candies that were thrown out of a window on the next level up.
